You are on holiday and want to capture yourself, your family having fun. It is sunny and beautiful out but why your photos don’t turn out the way you want?
First of all, if you’re shooting a portrait, avoid sunny and direct light on faces. This kind of light causes harsh shadows and squinting.
Here are some tips for you when shooting in full sun outdoor:
-look for open shade along the side of a building or under a tree, an umbrella
-put the sun behind your subject to play with sun flare and create backlit images.
-tell your subject to turn their back towards you or look away from the camera
Know what’s even more important than good light? Being in your family photos! And no, a family selfie doesn’t count! Capturing the relationship that parents have with their children is one of the best parts of my job. Isn’t it time for you to get in the picture?
